Re: Series Discussion
Oh I completely agree. Wish they would give us control over the upgrades as well.

Re: Series Discussion
So as you may or may not know, next weeks update will include R4 cars (Evo X and Impreza N14 (which shouldnt have a rear wing)) and new 2000s cars (Citroen C4 and Focus 2010 (or 2008?)). My question is, are we gonna be able to switch to those two for the league?

Re: Series Discussion
I would like people to thoroughly test the new 2000 cars before we consider adding them to the league. It will all depend on how well balanced they are with the 2001 cars. IF the fully upgraded versions of those two cars are comparable, then I see no issue in adding them.

Re: Series Discussion
I noticed there is rain scheduled for SS1 and SS2 in Finland.
Is that permanent?
I know I'm not the only one here, when it rains on Dirt Rally at the moment the game gives some immeasurable FPS LAG, it is ACTUALLY unplayable with this rain.
If the rain is fixed there, I won't be able to finish in the points, basically.
[I'm thinking for more than me on this matter, which is why I even mentioned it]

Re: Series Discussion
It's only for the fun event between round 2 and round 3. For the event itself, I will probably be a little kinder weather wise anyway, because of how brutal it is.

Yeah the website is down right now, which usually is indication they are working on it to add the new update in. So it will be up in a few hours when the modern masters update is live

Will Sweden be added to the calendar if it comes out before the end of the championship?

Re: Series Discussion
On a 3 min stage in Finland I was about 3 seconds faster in the newer focus. I was more comfortable in the old focus so I'm pretty sure the 2007's cars are a bit quicker.

Re: Series Discussion
Its stupid why 2007 focus and the 2010 citroen was added to 2000s class. They dont really belong there, totally different class from early 2000s WRC.
2007 focus atleast is stupid fast compared to the subaru, and citroen probably about the same speed. Definitely cant be included in the championship.

Re: Series Discussion
I had a feeling that might be the case. They won't be included. I can filter them out in the league when it comes to the proper rally at least.

Sounds like a good idea! Also will we be including Sweden if it comes out before the end of the season Stephen?

Re: Series Discussion
I want to, BUT, it would be good to have something brand new to look forward to should we do a second season. I shall think about.

That's a good idea! I vote Group B for season 2, as much as I love and hate the cars at the same time.

Re: Series Discussion
Just to confirm, we will hold Sweden back for season 2, which we will be doing early in the new year. I'm aware we're getting very close to Christmas as it is with the end of this season. Expect announcements for season 2 after DiRT Rally 1.0 drops with the Winter Wonderland release (possibly next week).
Regarding this season, Rally GB will still take place next week. Again, I don't want to push it any further back, given the proximity to the Christmas period.

For those that want to try Sweden, I've set up another league on RaceNet, open to join for anyone.
