OK, there seems to be a couple of rather big issues with league adminstration right now. They seem to have added the ability to allow or disallow career only cars, career engineers and setup modifcations. The problem is they HAVEN'T actually given the admins the options to select these things.

As it stands, everyone will be stuck with no engineers, meaning massive repair times for 1% repair job and no setup. I have to ask, are people OK with this? I can't even put a timescale on it, there's been no response to the issue yet.

Can't get a response from Codemasters in any thread that brings up the issue, let alone a fix, so, yet again, we're going to postpone this until the issue is fixed. As soon as it's fixed, I'll set the rally up and we'll just get it done. Apologies, but again, this is out of my control. I'll set up a fun event with a stage or two from each country with the cars we'll be running next season. Smile

I'm fine with that to be honest.

I think it might be better just to continue the final round and seal the deal on the champ. I mean, it's not like its a pending PHYSICS update, the game is just the same and if you crash and have to use a horrendous repair time penalty you can only blame yourself, even if it is bugged out.

Given the response I've just had from Paul Coleman on Twitter, we'll run the rally from this Friday (18th) to Monday (21st) whatever happens.

Post by steviejb Fri 18 Dec - 21:33

As has been posted in the posts above, there are issues with the leagues that were introduced in the 1.0 update. I've been trying to get some sort of timescale for a fix, but it doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon, as hinted it in the tweet from Paul Coleman a couple of posts up. Decided to run the rally, aware the issues were not fixed, because we might well be looking at weeks before there's a fix. Sad

All I can say is be very careful not to crash, because there are no career engineers either, due to the league issues. :/

You know this rally's bizzare when I'm the only 2000s class runner to finish so far  Shocked

    In summary...
    Stage 1 - I hate Dyffryn Afon
    Stage 2 - Okay
    Stage 3 - I hate Dyffryn Afon
    Stages 4-6 - Okay
    Stage 7 - I hate Dyffryn Afon
Stage 8 - 'Maximum attack' wasn't my finest idea...

Still, I finished. P3 overall atm out of just 5 finishers - crazy!   affraid

    Wales round-up:

Well two silly mistakes on each of the Bronfelon stages immediately put me a minute behind the pace at the end of the first leg.

Going into the second leg, the car was in pretty bad shape and down on power. So I just went for it and set two PB's and two stage bests (for the meantime anyway) on the Fferm Wynt and second Sweet Lamb stage. God knows how as the car was making very strange sounds and losing power stage by stage!

Third leg was good, little spin on second to last stage but other than that a good couple of stages. Don't think I did enough to make up for my mishaps on leg 1 but all in all an enjoyable rally.

Same story as last rally. Only driving i've done since last event is a few stages of sweden

Started off slowly and still managed to crash at the end of stage 1. Btw, after not playing dirt for a while you start noticing some major faults that fucks your rallies. Going wide loses you time, to then respawn you further back and adding 14 seconds is complete shit. There's also some notes that are quite shit. Quite weird that codies don't notice these themselve imo.

only decent stage was 3rd stage (I think) which was 8 secs off the best time (and that with an already totalled car).

Nothing more to say really, Haven't played the game I knew I wasn't gonna do well. Without the shit you get from codies it might would have gone decent but ended up with me retiring.

Well I just today remembered that I never did the rally this weekend, so I went in without practice or setup Smile Looks like it got me fairly decent time, engine light turned on on 2nd last stage, so I started to take it a bit careful because i remembered once in group b peugeot i discarded it in finland and managed to blow the engine on last stage of championship Razz

Anyways thanks guys for the season! Wish rampage had been bit more active as he is for sure good competition and look forward to seeing more people hopefully attending next season!

Congrats Kim! It's been awesome to see guys of the calibre of yourself up there. I know I have much to learn myself about this rallying lark compared to the circuit driving I've done for the last god knows how many years! Certainly hoping to see more and more people compete as we move over to SRC. Hopefully Codemasters will polish the game and league side of things up, making my life a little easier too. Less than an hour left of the season!
